Love Your Wetlands Day Mural 2026

The San Diego Bird Alliance and I created this freestanding 40x6 foot mural in Kendall Frost Marsh in San Diego. When standing in front of the mural, it lines up with the landscape behind to show a vision for the restored marsh. Marsh restoration has been a cross-organizational effort, and this project helps community members understand the work that is being done. Design for the project was based on community input gathered by SDBA and local Tribal partners, for what people would like to see in the space. Audrey built the structure and painted the mural over the course of a week, culminating in a live painting activity at Love Your Wetlands Day Celebration.
